Risk disclaimer

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Trading involves substantial risk

Trading foreign exchange, contracts for difference (CFDs), futures, options, cryptocurrencies and other leveraged products carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of your capital, and with some products more than your initial deposit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

Software, not advice

Vertex Algorithms builds trading software to the specification of each client. Nothing on this website, in any communication, or in any software delivered is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any instrument. I do not manage money, provide trading signals, or have access to client trading accounts. You decide whether, how and with what settings to use any software you receive, and you are responsible for the results.

Hypothetical and backtested performance

Performance figures on this website are historical simulations, such as Strategy Tester backtests, for specific account configurations, unless clearly stated otherwise. Simulated results have inherent limitations: they are prepared with the benefit of hindsight, may not reflect the impact of spreads, commissions, slippage, requotes, latency or liquidity at your broker, and do not involve financial risk. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown. Past performance, actual or simulated, does not indicate future results.

Testimonials

Testimonials reflect the individual experience of the clients quoted and are not representative of all clients. They are not a guarantee of future performance or success.

Prop firms and third parties

Proprietary trading firms, brokers and platforms set and change their own rules. Software built to respect a firm’s rules reflects those rules as you described them at the time of the project. Checking a firm’s current terms, and complying with them, remains your responsibility.

Regulation

Automated and algorithmic trading is regulated differently in different countries. For example, in India, API-based algorithmic trading by retail investors is subject to the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s framework for retail algorithmic trading. You are responsible for complying with the rules that apply to you, your broker and your jurisdiction.
